Mark is a Director and the Chief Legal Counsel at IPOS (the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore), where he heads the Hearings team.
He has more than 25 years of experience in intellectual property law, and has published many articles in both local and international law journals. He is a co-author of the chapter on Copyright in Halsbury's Laws of Singapore: Volume 13(3) - Intellectual property (2007 & 2018 Reissue, Lexis-Nexis, Singapore). He also co-teaches the module on Foundations of IP Law at the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Law, where he covers the section on patents.
Among other things, Mark was actively involved in the development of the National IP Protocol (“NIPP”) and the public sector Master Research Collaboration Agreement (“MRCA”). He also worked on the design of training courses for public officers to learn to navigate the NIPP and MRCA.
